Four years ago, I made a happy mistake

It started, like so many things in 2020, with too much time and a streaming service. I binge-watched The Home Edit during lockdown and somewhere between Season 1 and Marie-Kondoing my way through every square foot of my home -does this spark joy?- an idea started taking shape...

Reader, I did this for other people.

Curated turns four this year, and I'll be honest: I sit with that for a moment every time I say it out loud...

Four years of walking into homes during seasons that are sometimes chaotic, often overwhelming, and always deeply personal.

Four years of befores that look like the inside of my brain during tax season, and afters that make me catch my breath a little every single time.

That before-and-after moment never gets old. It's the whole reason I do this.

I came into this work through my own home first. Before Curated had a name, I was loading up 12 carloads of stuff from my own house...

I’m grateful for so much, for a team that shows up and cares about this work the way I do...

As for where we're headed? My hope for the next four years is simple: That people who need this work find their way to us, and that we find our way to them.

Thank you for four years of Curated. Here's to what comes next

-Ester xoxo
